Bensport - Special Bentley on Bentley R-Type chassis

Having shown our competence in creating another exclusive one-off Bentley-style body for one of their clients, Bensport asked us to create a body based on the sketch below for themselves.

The car will be entering low volume production shortly and is based on a restored Bentley R-Type chassis and running gear - the same as used by the Bentley Continental - to which the bespoke body will be added.

This sketch was refined by Bensport into a life size side elevation utilising a method used by coachbuilders of past generations. It is details like this that turn us on about projects. The traditional and the new complementing each other perfectly.

Over a period of weeks working with Bob and Andy from Bensport, the shape was refined into an elegant 3D shape and from this a buck is being made to enable manufacture of the design. All the time advanced methods were used including selective laser scanning to ensure the design would suit the chassis and to ensure parts like windscreens would fit.
