Original designs

As other sections of our website show, we have experience of creating bespoke vehicle bodies to a customers brief.

However, we are also experienced in other creative sectors and have produced acclaimed designs in areas such as jewellery and plastic mouldings to name but two. Examples of these are shown below:

Plastic moulding containing electrical equipment

The client wanted to keep the existing internals of this electrical item, but needed for marketing purposes to modernise the external design. A previous Solidworks contractor had made an extremely poor job of the contract and we were called in to get the design back on track.

The casing below was the result. Prototyped within three weeks.

Jewellery design

The client wanted a ring designed for his wife that expressed his family unit. In addition, the ring had to be a hexagonal shape to match the rings his wife and himself currently wore.

Our solution was a ring with two large bands on the outside symbolising him and his wife and two inner bands symbolising their two children.

The bands were then wound around each other to symbolise the family as a cohesive unit.

Drafting; technical drawing

Skilled in the art of drafting, we have produced many hundreds of drawings to a consistently high standard using Solidworks software.

Once created in Solidworks, the drawings can be converted to proprietary formats such as DXF, DWG and PDF amongst many others.

Much of our past work is protected by confidentiality agreements. However, an example showing a Solex MH25 carburettor from 1924 is shown below to indicate our level of competency.

 

2D to 3D file conversion

Have a back catalogue of 2D files needing to be converted to a 3D format?

Existing designs can be converted into 3D format in an efficient and timely manner. We have experience of converting just the one part to processing a batch of over 800.

3D Modelling of existing designs

Have a design or group of designs that need creating competently, efficiently and in a timely manner in a 3D programme?

Being highly qualified in Solidworks, we can create your design to an outstanding level of competency and quicker than most other Solidworks users.

Your design can then be converted into virtually any file type you care to mention.

With access to white light and laser scanners and experienced in both techniques, we can efficiently capture the surface of your chosen subject, whether it be the size of a coin or as large as a car.
